Due to the award of recent new contracts, we are recruiting for the following vacancies, based at our new, purpose built facility in Ellon, North Aberdeenshire:-

MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER |

You will carry out planned and routine machine maintenance to maximise machine running time and conduct adhoc repairs plus troubleshooting for machine breakdowns. You will also be required to control and maintain adequate materials, spares, parts, etc to avoid unnecessary machine downtime.

Applicants must be Time served (NVQ 2 in a production engineering, electrical or similar trade; Non time served applications with experience in a similar factory or production environment will also be considered. It would be beneficial electrical experience or qualification plus the ability to operate a range of standard machinery, eg lathes to manufacture any machine parts required.

FITTERS (MECHANICAL ASSEMBLY) |

Based in the Fitting area of factory, you will be performing a wide variety of mechanical assembly and fitting duties using both hand and powered tools.

Applicants must be either a Time Served Mechanical or Production Engineer or educated to SVQ Level 2/3 in a technical/engineering skill and have industrial mechanical assembly and/or general manufacturing experience. It would also be beneficial if applicants had experience of working with pumps, bearings, gearboxes or valves.

CNC MACHINISTS |

Based in the Machine Shop, you will be setting and operating a variety of CNC, Grinding, Milling Machines or Lathes.

Applicants must be either a Time Served Mechanical or Production Engineer or educated to SVQ Level 2/3 in a technical/engineering skill and have industrial mechanical assembly and/or general manufacturing experience. It would also be beneficial if applicants had experience of working with pumps, bearings, gearboxes or valves.

PRODUCTION PLANNER |

You will provide a key link between transforming incoming sales orders, via our computerised MRP System, to ensure goods are produced and shipped to customers within set delivery deadlines.

You will plan production schedules for manufacture, analysing plant capacity and monitoring stock levels, producing master schedules for sequence and lead times to meet shipping dates. This will require constant liaison with other relevant departments and external personnel to expedite operations and minimise schedule delays.

Preferably educated to general Degree or SVQ Level 4, candidates must be fully IT Literate in all standard Microsoft packages with considerable experience of MRP systems combined with the ability to present accurate, high quality reports generated from data systems and excellent communication skills. Candidates must have previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering or factory environment, and be a flexible, adaptable team member.

PRODUCTION ENGINEER |

You would be responsible for planning, implementation and improvement of company’s manufacturing methods, procedures, tooling, routings, processes, machines and equipment to achieve or improve performance targets.

Key skills will be the ability to plan manufacturing processes and programme CNC machines. Ideally you would have either an HND or Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering together with actual production experience in a manufacturing or factory environment. CAD/CAM experience would also be extremely beneficial.

DESIGN & APPLICATIONS ENGINEER |

This is a key role in the design and development of customised Jack products, which are then manufactured on site. The role involves, specifying and designing products to a high degree of accuracy and detail to suit customer applications, close customer and workshop liaison to ensure that the customer receives the product, which suits their needs.

Salary for all positions will be dependent on relevant skills, qualifications and experience.
