Power Jacks and COVID-19

To all our valued Customers and Suppliers

Power Jacks is fully committed to the wellbeing, health and safety of our workforce and to visitors to our Aberdeenshire site.

In accordance with the latest UK government instructions, office staff have been working from home where possible and continue to communicate with customers and suppliers in order to minimise disruption and to ensure business continuity through these difficult times.

However, as we are a manufacturing company after all, working from home is not an option for our production staff who operate machine tools or are involved in assembly, quality inspection, receipt and despatch of goods. We have taken steps to protect our staff by minimising contact by observing government recommendations for social distancing and operating in shifts where possible.

In the past few days however, we have been experiencing increased difficulties in our supply chain resulting in the delay of materials being received to fulfil orders. Also, the availability of logistics to ship to our clients in 80 countries around the world is becoming increasingly challenging due to the limited availability of carriers.

Many of our clients have already closed their operations, asking us to defer shipments and we are seeing countries going into lockdown in the coming weeks.

For this reason and with the continued health and wellbeing of our staff being of utmost importance, we have taken the decision to suspend production from this Friday 27th March at 12.00 noon until at least Monday 13th April pending further advice from the UK Government. We will not be in a position to ship or receive goods during this time.
