Power Jacks starts trading in 1988.

Power Jacks unveils a new identity, to better communicate the company offering in the market

Power Jacks acquires its main UK competitor, Precision Actuation Systems (PAS), for screw jacks and linear actuators. This acquisition expands both product offerings and global sales network.

Fortune Engineering (in same group of companies as PAS) are also acquired with PAS. The screw jack and linear actuators designs they manufactured strengthens Power Jacks core product range.

Neeter Drive Ltd who are the UK’s largest manufacturer of right-angled spiral bevel gearboxes are acquired to expand the product portfolio while increasing the number of products manufactured for jacking systems.

Later in the same year Power Jacks acquire Youngs Lifting one of the leading British designers and manufacturers of mechanical and hydraulic jacking systems.

Power Jacks opens its official representative office in Shanghai, China, located in the prestigious Jinmao Tower.

Power Jacks is honoured with a Queen’s Award for Business Enterprise. The internationally recognised awards are the UK’s most prestigious accolades for business performance. Power Jacks’ award marks the company’s considerable global growth with overseas sales increasing by 246%.

Power Jacks launches a new compact cubic Screw Jack, offering versatility in mounting methods. Engineered for optimal performance, long-lasting durability, and flexibility, this system also boasts an extensive range of accessories. Ideal for industrial applications, whether used individually or as part of a multi-unit jacking setup.

Power Jacks is entering a new era as we complete the move to our new multi-million pound headquarters. The relocation to the large, modern, purpose-built headquarters has been driven by our commitment to realise our global growth potential in the long-term.

Power Jacks invested more than £1million on 3 state-of-the-art Doosan CNC machine tools, addressing customer needs for both its core products and precision machining services. Power Jacks’ new Doosan cell includes a large vertical turning centre, a large capacity lathe and a new machining centre to compliment Power Jacks’ already extensive manufacturing machining capability. The improved capability allows the company to engineer even larger industrial worm gear screw jacks and actuators and produce larger products for its oil and gas customers.

Power Jacks launched the U-Series, a pioneering suite of Subsea Screw Jacks and Bevel Gearboxes. The U-Series has primarily been engineered for the oil & gas sector and encompasses our established and reliable technologies combined with our track record for delivering linear motion and mechanical rotary power transmission in subsea applications. At this stage, Power Jacks had already successfully used the range for pig launchers, subsea clamps and valve actuators.

Power Jacks’ latest expansion move of opening our 3^rd dedicated sales office in India to service an increasingly significant market.

The relocation to the large, modern, purpose-built headquarters has been driven by our commitment to realise our global growth potential in the long-term.

Power Jacks opened its 4^th sales office, as a part of our growth plans to provide local regional access to our engineering services and customer support. We have local representatives present in 30 of the states so far.

The Electric Linear Actuator range, POWERAM, is designed to take machine design to the next level – offering capacities from 10kN up to 200kN as standard and 2000kN on request.
