Limit Switches
Limit Switches are available in Proximity Sensor or Electro-Mechanical designs.
Proximity Sensors provide a non-contact sensing for limit switching. Normally used for end of stroke limit switches on screw jacks or linear actuators.
Electro-Mechanical Limit Switches provide a switch activated by mechanical contact where this is a requirement of a process. Can be fitted to screw jacks and linear actuators for end of stroke position indication.
Safety rated versions are available for both Proximity Sensors and Electro-Mechanical Switches.

Limit switches are normally used for end of stroke position indication on screw jacks or linear actuators. Proximity sensors can also be used as “pulse generators” when used in combination with a target on a rotating shaft.
