What is ATEX Certification?

ATEX certification is the European regulatory framework for equipment intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. It ensures that equipment is designed and manufactured to minimise or eliminate potential ignition sources, such as hot surfaces, mechanical sparks and static electricity, which could ignite flammable substances or cause an explosion.
