C-Series
Metric Machine Screw Jack
3D Interactive Preview, Data Sheets, CAD & Brochures

The C-Series machine screw jacks are ideal for low duty positioning, lifting and actuation applications where you need alternative mounting arrangements when compared to the E-Series screw jacks.
Capacity ranges from 10kN to 100kN as standard. They are available in Translating and Rotating screw designs. With a variety of operating features available including Anti-Rotation (Keyed), Anti-Backlash and Safety Nut. The machine screw jacks are fully customisable by our engineering team to meet your exact application requirements.
Useful Information
Key Features
- Cubic Metric Machine Screw Jack
- Capacities from 10kN to 100kN as Standard
- Translating and Rotating Screw configurations
- 2 Gear ratios and 2 screw leads as standard
- Anti-backlash design option
- Anti-rotation (keyed) design option
- Safety Nut design option
- 6 mounting options including trunnion
Typical Applications
Cubic housing machine Screw Jacks are used for applications with intermittent duty cycles where alternative mounting to the E-Series screw jacks is required and/or a different external visual appearance is preferred. The screw jacks incorporate the same precision worm gear set as the E-Series machine screw jacks held in a rugged casting delivering positive, precise actuation.
The cubic design offers modern aesthetics and versatile mounting on two faces of the gearbox with tapped holes, while eliminating the need for upright and inverted variants.
Available in a comprehensive range of materials and fittings resulting in over 140 million configurations to help you meet your specific application requirements. View ourย Industriesย page for application examples and further information.
Selecting the Right Screw Jack
Consider all application constraints then choose a product that looks suitable for the intended application. If you need help choosing which Screw Jack best meets your requirements then, calculate the power and torque requirements. This is a 5 step process:
- Screw jack Input Speed
- Operating Input Power (kW),P
- Operating Input torque
- Screw jack start-up torque
- Mechanical Power and torque check

Special Designs
- Modifications to the standard screw jacks:
This would include non-standard painting or plating of the housing, 2 or 3 start threaded lifting screws, stainless steel lifting screws or worm shafts, increased closed heights, extended worm shafts, left hand threaded lifting screws etc. - Additions to the standard screw jacks:
Items such as wear indicators, safety nuts, rotation monitoring kits, special lifting screw end fittings, encoder adapter flanges etc. - Completely special screw jacks:
Where a modification of our existing range is not practical we have the facilities to design and manufacture screw jacks tailored specifically to your requirements.

Jacking Systems
The screw jacks can be connected together in systems so that multiple units can be operated and controlled together. Theseย jacking systemย arrangements or configurations can be built in many formats with the use ofย bevel gearboxes,ย motors,ย reduction gearboxes,ย drive shafts,ย couplings,ย plummer blocksย andย motion controlย devices.
Two of the most popular system configurations are the โHโ and โUโ configured jacking systems.
Multiple screw jacks can be linked together mechanically or electrically. The latter is useful if there is no space for linking drive shafts.
If multiple machine screw jacks are connected in a mechanically linked system then the complete system may be considered self-locking. If you would like this checked please consult Power Jacks. Alternatively, to be sure, include a brake on the system either as a stand alone device or as a brake motor.
