Plummer Blocks

Plummer Block, Drive Components, ISO

Plummer Blocks for bearing support of drive shafts.

Solid drive shafts typically need bearings supports installed at each end. Plummer blocks provide a quick and simple method to provide this support. Long drive shafts may require intermediate supports along the shaft. One Piece and Split Piece Plummer Blocks are available.

Useful Information

1 Piece Plummer Block Features

  • 5 Standard Sizes available from 20mm to 60mm bore
  • Other bore sizes available on request
  • Cast Iron housing with eccentric locking ring
  • Anti-friction bearings

  • Ideal for solid shaft bearing supports
  • Other material types available on request

Split Housing Plummer Block Features

Split housing plummer blocks are to DIN736 with anti-friction bearings with tapered bores and adaptor sleeve. Unit can be unbolted so it splits in half to allow easy installation or removal of drive shaft.

The housings are made of cast iron and are sealed with felt strips on both sides. The housings are designed to allow floating or located bearings.
